I am a professional Early Childhood Educator with over twenty years of experience . From an educator standpoint, the joy I receive in hearing the laughter, constant questions and outlandish stories conjured up by the heartfelt, vivid imagination of children is the most honest reward and gift any child can give. Having the privilege of being part of the educational growth and development of children is rewarding and wonderful.

Ms.Raadha
PRE-K Lead Teacher

I am happy to be on board at Cheer-N-Grow and it is with great pleasure teaching and taking care of your child. Here is a little about myself. I am a caring, honest, patient and loving person. I love taking care of children, it has always been my dream to work with children. I don't see your children as a job but as a passion to take care and teach.

My experience working with young children, providing care and assistance, has given me the knowledge and skills applicable for the duties necessary in my role.   Working with your child will allow me to demonstrate my true inner warmth and love for these children, guiding them in the development of their social and cognitive abilities. These tender ages are vital for a person's upbringing when it comes to discipline, and learning what is wrong and what is right.   I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Early Childhood Education at Lehman College. During the pursuit of this degree, I was exposed to various situations wherein my organizational skills were put to test. I also had to balance multiple projects at once in short amounts of time. My integrity, interpersonal skills, and ability to cope in stressful situations allow me to efficiently carry through with assigned responsibilities. I assure you that I will do my best in taking care of your child and making them feel comfortable.

Working in the field of early childhood education is a huge responsibility. As a preschool teacher, you have the ability to influence a young child during one of the most critical learning periods of their life.

We understand that above all else learning must be fun. We design our daily lesson plans with fun in mind. Through our daily projects, children can express themselves freely through activities such as movement, music, art, dramatic play, and individual choice. Children will learn about the world and the differences among cultures through science, social studies, and language arts.

Green Room Assistant

Teacher assistants have the opportunity to really make an impact on the lives of kids because i spend so much time with them. For this reason, teacher assistants can be very influential to children sometimes in ways that the teacher cannot.

One of our objectives is to teach the children how to express themselves and their feelings using words not actions. Cooperation, teamwork, and problem solving are important skills to develop at this age. Another objective is to treat each child as an individual. We want the children to feel as though we respect their individual needs and assure them that they are respected and loved.

I love teaching pre-kindergarten! My mission as a teacher is to help children discover the joy of learning, and to help each child develop a strong belief in his or her own ability. I want them to do their best and to have a sense of pride in doing their personal best. It is also of primary importance to me that my students appreciate and respect other peoples' differences.

Over the years, I have taken many hours of professional development in order to be prepared to meet each child's needs. Together we can make this year the best year possible for your child. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or come up for a scheduled conference.

  • Pre-K is a critical and irreplaceable foundation for our city’s young learners, and is the beginning of their educational relationship with the NYCDOE.
  • Our children and their families will benefit from smooth transitions between pre-K and Kindergarten, and the NYCDOE can continue to build on the quality foundations for learning and development established in the pre-K year.

Children are children, no matter what their level of special needs. Each child is different.. A child may not have an identified disability, but he or she may still struggle with understanding the learning environment. A child may need more intellectual challenges than the current environment provides. We can offer professional development and resources that are geared toward helping children with specific challenges in the environment.
